No matter the breed of dog or cat, they are our babies (my mom called my dog her “granddog”). They deserve just as much (if not more) spoiling than some members of our human family. They are smart and sneaky, they know EXACTLY what they’re doing when we’re not looking. They can open refrigerators and get into that packet of deli meat. They can open drawers to fight with their favorite pair of socks. They hide when they know they are in trouble. Even their varying barks tell us the whole story of how they’re feeling; upset, angry, hungry, lonely…they have feelings just like our own. But you have to be really be in tune with animals to truly get the sense of what they’re “saying.” When in need for these delightful minions, here is where to get affordable pet supplies for pet lovers:

It’s not an exhaustive list because that could go on forever but I’ve included some commonly-known breeds as well as some that seem to only be fit for royalty.
Elegance personified is how many would describe the Afghan Hound. This ancient dog breed is very unique in that it has an appearance quite unlike any other: dramatic silky coat, exotic face, and a thin, almost “fashion-model” build. Afghan enthusiasts describe this hound as both aloof and comical. They hail from Afghanistan, where the original name for the breed was Tazi, the Afghan is thought to date back to the pre-Christian era and is considered one of oldest breeds.
Though the Afghan is a large breed, they adapt very well to apartment living. They are also very sensitive, affectionate and are all-around friendly. They tolerate cold and hot weather exceptionally well. They are not that easy to train and they have a tendency to bark and howl.
The Akita is a large and powerful dog breed with a noble and intimidating presence. Original use of the Akita was for guarding royalty and nobility in feudal Japan. The Akita is a fearless and loyal guardian of their family. They Akita do not back down from challenges and do not frighten easily. Yet they are highly touted as being affectionate, respectful, and amusing when properly trained and socialized.
The Akita is highly sensitive. They tolerate cold weather exceptionally well but not so much the hot. They don’t get the highest mark for being kid-friendly nor being very friendly towards strangers. They are however easy to train and because they are moderately intelligent, they can be rather “mouthy.” LOL!
The Azawakh gets its name for the Azawakh Valley in the Sahara desert where they originated. This breed is lean and a swift hunter with a regal presence. A proud but loyal breed, and protective of his home and family.
Though a larger breed, the Azawakh adapts well to apartment living. They tolerate hot weather exceptionally well; not cold weather. They are affectionate dogs but only moderately kid-friendly. They are fairly easy to train and they do not have a tendency to bark or howl very much. Shop here for your affordable pet supplies:

Catahoula Leopard (yeap, you read that right)
The Catahoula dog breed has a striking appearance and a strong work ethic. They are a tough dog bred to work in swamps and forests and requires a leader who is firm and consistent, with time to keep him occupied.
This is a breed that you would want to have in a house and not in an apartment. The tolerate hot and cold weather moderately. They are very affectionate with family, but they get very low marks for getting along with other dogs. They are pretty kid-friendly. They need an exceptional amount of exercise.
